I had my Senior Prom yesterday and it was one of the greatest nights I’ve ever had. I decided after attending prom last year that I was going to wear a suit to my own senior prom. AND SO I DID! I bought my suit, pants and tuxedo shirt from H&M. I switched out clear buttons for black ones on my tuxedo shirt and I cropped my pants so that they met at my ankles. Minor adjustments can really make a difference. I also made my own bow tie and taught myself how to tie it myself, which took me a few tries before I got it just right. I went with patent heels as the night began but once I got on the dance floor I switched out my heels for my beat up saddle shoes. They were more far comfortable! I had the greatest time just putting the outfit together leading up to my prom night. Finding the right suit that fit, the perfect pants, the right fabric for my bow tie, how to wear my hair. This was probably one of the greatest creative processes I’ve ever had. Overall I think the suit was a great success!
